EPA Hosts Q&A Session about Clearview Landfill, July 18

In collaboration with the Eastwick Friends & Neighbors Coalition (EFNC), and the Darby Creek Valley Association (DCVA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is hosting a Q&A Session on Thursday, July 18, 2013.

During this public community meeting, EPA Project Team, including representatives Josh Barber and Larry Brown, will be available to answer questions about work on the Lower Darby Creek Area (LDCA) Superfund sit, and provide information about upcoming proposed cleanup plans for the Clearview Landfill.  Extensive information about the LDCA Superfund site is available on the EPA website –click on this link.

Town Hall Meeting about AVI-property assessments, July 9

Councilman Kenyatta Johnson, Philadelphia District #2, is hosting a Town Hall Community Meeting on Tuesday, July 9.  He will meet with residents to share his thoughts and field questions to address citizen concerns about the Mayor Michael Nutter’s “Actual Value Initiative” (AVI) – the new property assessment system based on the full market value of land and buildings.
